Join us for a workshop where you’ll learn to take better, more professional-looking photos using equipment you already have! Our instructor, Toi Tucker of Toi Tucker Photography, will cover a variety of topics including:
- Smartphone camera basics and settings for capturing sharper, higher-quality images
- Product photography fundamentals, including composition, framing, angles, and styling
- Using natural light and affordable lighting equipment to improve photos
- Choosing backgrounds, surfaces, and simple props for product photography
- Creating an inexpensive at-home or small-business product photography setup
- Common photography mistakes and how to recognize and correct them
- How to edit photos directly from your smartphone, including exposure, color, cropping, straightening, and basic retouching
- Recommended mobile editing apps and photography software
- Preparing photos for websites, social media, e-commerce, and other marketing uses
The workshop will include a live demonstration showing how lighting, positioning, camera angle, and editing can transform a basic smartphone photo into a polished product image.
