Columbus Landmarks Walking Tour
Take a historical tour of Main Library’s original Carnegie Building, led by Columbus Landmarks. See the iconic indoor and outdoor architectural features of Carnegie libraries found all over the world, and hear about how Columbus came to have one of its own. Free guided tour begins at 2 p.m. in Main Library's History Gallery. Please RSVP for the tour.
A Look Back: Andrew Carnegie, 100 Years Later
Stop in the History Gallery on Main Library’s 2nd floor to see a new exhibit commemorating the life and times of Andrew Carnegie (Nov. 25. 1835-Aug. 11, 1919), who donated $200,000 to fund the building of Main Library.
Activities for Kids
Meet in the Atrium to build a mini-Main Library, decorate a top hat and have a photo taken with the man himself.
