What does it mean for a handful of companies to be racing toward "superintelligence" — AI capable of anything the human brain can do? This session uses excerpts from journalist Jennifer Strong's Pulitzer Center–supported reporting, The Race to Superintelligence, to walk through how we got here, what's at stake (from privacy and trust to bigger existential questions), and the ethical choices ahead. Designed for beginners, seniors, and anyone with no technical background — just an interest in understanding the AI decisions being made on our behalf, and what role the public can play. Free and open to all. Supported by a Pulitzer Center grant.
