ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Stephen G. Post, PhD is a best-selling author, professor of preventative medicine and the director of the Center for Medical Humanities, Compassionate Care, and Bioethics at Stony Brook University.

His best-selling books include The Hidden Gifts of Helping (2011) and Why Good Things Happen to Good People (2007), and his recent God and Love on Route 80: The Hidden Mystery of Human Connectedness (2019).

For over 20 years, Dr. Post has been spreading the science of giving and the commitment to the greater good. He has promoted the idea of “give and live better” across the globe. 

After funding over 50 scientific studies at the nation’s top universities as well as conducting his own research, he brings finetuned insight into the ways in which we benefit as givers and a shares practical advice about shifting cultural systems in schools, healthcare, businesses and communities in a positive direction by following the Golden Rule.
