Family History Day with J. Mark Lowe

Join us Saturday, Oct. 6 for a full day of genealogy and history activities! Bring your questions and genealogy research to get help from Main Library’s Local History & Genealogy staff.

Professional genealogist J. Mark Lowe is a featured expert on the PBS series "Who Do You Think You Are?". He will present four informative and interactive sessions:

  • Finding Your Landless Ancestors
  • Dower, Dowry, Detinue: Women and their men's property
  • Focusing on Pathways 'cross the Ohio River
  • Looking for Papa, Finding a People

Also, bring items from your own family history to be scanned and take a tour of the Local History & Genealogy space and Digital Lab at Main Library.

All activities and sessions are free and so is parking in Main Library’s attached garage. Registration suggested.

Table seating is limited to 120 guests. Theater-style seats can accommodate another 300 guests. Seating is first come, first served.
